Uniform - What to wear?

Some uniform items can be purchased through Miss Monique such as navy leotards, navy crossovers, navy chiffon & georgette skirts and Dance Hoodies. Please email requests. 

We also have some limited selections of Pre-loved dance wear in the foyer. Feel free to browse. If you have pre-loved dancewear you'd like to sell please seal in a plastic ziplock bag with an envelope with your name, details and size of item/s and what price you'd like. The person wanting to buy will place the money in the envelope and leave on the reception desk for the previous owner to collect.

Adult Ballet:

You can wear any comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely such as gym wear. Please wear socks or ballet slippers on your feet.

Hair for Dance classes:

Ballet bun for Ballet and Contemporary or a secure ponytail for Jazz and Tap. Make sure it won't hinder you for turns and port de bras by pinning it back off your face please.

Pre-School Ballet Uniform:

• Girls: Any style leotard in pink, white or lilac
• Boys: White t'shirt and black shorts
• ballet pink socks
• pink ballet slippers for girls and Black or white for boys
• BONUS Enrolment gift of a tulle tutu skirt for girls and a super hero cape for boys!

Girls Ballet Uniform is :

• Navy sleeveless leotard (Could be Energetiks style CL12 Camisole leotard for children, or CL11 or AL11 princess line wide strap cami leotard to go with bra for older girls-or Bloch L3454)
• Energetiks Theatrical Pink convertible tights
• Pink leather ballet split sole shoes with elastics for Pre-school and Primary and ribbons from Grade 1 upwards.
• Navy circle chiffon skirt for Pre-school and Primary students, (Only available through Monique)
• Short Navy wrap BLOCH A0722G or L Georgette skirt from Grade 1 students upwards. This can be ordered through Monique or purchased from Pam at "All About Dance" (formerly Brite Sparks) in River Street, Ballina.
• For cooler months navy crossover
• OPTIONAL - Dance Hoodie available at Reception to try for sizing then order

Boys Ballet Uniform

• White boys leotard
• Navy tights or shorts
• White leather or canvas split sole ballet shoes with white elastics
• white socks
• Dance belt for boys from approximately 10 years of age (Click here for a great reference )
