Our End Of Year Concert Is Here!

It’s finally here! The end of the year, and of course, at Ballet Coaching, that means the end of year concert! This year, we showcase the wonderful talent produced in our studios through the year. Our young dancers get the opportunity to show us what they’ve learnt, and we get the opportunity to be dazzled! The students at Ballet Coaching glow with pride, as they perform on stage. It is such a special evening, and we are so looking forward to it!

Our ballerinas and danseurs will take us on a magical dance adventure.
Act One is a celebration of Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and High School Dance, in a mixed bill showcasing some of our soloists and school leavers.
Act Two is the Ballet "Kettentanz” (meaning Chain Dance) which is a classical salute to Old Vienna balls and Weingartens. The music is Johann Strauss Sr. Johann Mayer and Birthday Variations by Giuseppe Verdi.
The concert weekend is a big weekend of rehearsal and performance. Parents can support their young dancers by making sure they’ve read all the instructions in Monique’s email, sent out on Sunday. Make sure young dancers are at the venue on time, and have all the requirements for their performance, including the correct shoes, socks or stockings, make-up, hair and skin-coloured high-cut underwear. We kindly ask that only water is consumed during dress rehearsal and the performance. No juice and fizzy drinks please! Students should bring a snack for Saturday’s dress rehearsal, and they will be allocated snack time, when they are not in costume.
Because this is such a big weekend for young dancers, we suggest keeping other commitments to a minimum. Allow young dancers a chance to unwind and rest between rehearsals.
And now for the fun! Let our end of year concert bring us all delight! And may our young dancers enjoy showing off everything they’ve learnt through the year!
