Children’s Dance Classes

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." Plato

Introducing children to dance from an early age helps them develop physical strength, coordination, mental development and spatial awareness. Young dancers learn how to follow gentle discipline. Young dancers grow in confidence and self-esteem, as they learn how to embody music, and perform in front of an audience. Dance classes are also a fun way to interact with others!

We are thrilled to announce the grand opening in 2017 of two new purpose built studios in Wollongbar with state of the art semi sprung floating dance floors and special dance Vinyl Tarkett, fixed barres and mirrors.  Here we offer children's ballet classes for all ages from pre-schoolers creative movement classes to kids and teens recreational dance classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Performance classes and for the dedicated vocational student we offer a specialised coaching and mentoring program tailored specifically to the student.

At Ballet Coaching, we recommend starting children with Classical Ballet, as Ballet forms the technical foundation for all dance genres.

Students who take 2 ballet classes a week can be prepared for Cecchetti and RAD examinations (Director discretion).

At the end of the year, the children are encouraged to perform at the annual Ballet Coaching concert, where they have the chance to showcase everything they have learnt from the year.
